Hsf heat
Web8 feb. 2024 · In S. cerevisiae, HSF is encoded by a sole HSF1 gene. Upon heat shock, HSF is activated and induces the expression of the genes encoding heat shock proteins (HSPs) resident in various intracellular compartments via binding to the heat shock element (HSE). Web30 jul. 2015 · HSF, heat shock factor; ISO, isoproterenol; IGF, insulin-like growth factor 1. HSF1 is required for the expression of myocardial collagen proteins induced by ISO Though disease processes and origins may differ, excess deposition of fibrillar collagens type I and III characterizes fibrosis in the heart ( 29 ).

Web27 jan. 2011 · Hsfs are the terminal components of a signal transduction chain mediating the activation of genes responsive to heat or other stress stimuli [ 3, 4 ]. Under normal growth conditions, Hsf is maintained in an inert monomer state through association with molecular chaperones such as Hsp70. Heat shock factors (HSF) are transcriptional activators of heat shock genes. These activators bind specifically to Heat Shock sequence Elements (HSE) throughout the genome whose consensus-sequence is a tandem array of three oppositely oriented "AGAAN" motifs or a degenerate version thereof. Under non-stressed conditions, Drosophila HSF is a nuclear-localized unbound monomer, whereas heat shock activation results in trimerization and binding to the HSE. The Heat Shock s…
