There seems to be a slight bug where the interaction to Tickle the Pear doesn't show up the first time you interact with the painting. If this is the case for you, leave the painting and complete another quest before returning. It should work when you come back. Once the option to ... might be something else, but for me I was tapping F and hearing the pear giggle, so I figured it wasn't working. You have to hold F a while to actually confirm the prompt, like how you enter most dungeons in the game I could hear the pear giggle, too. It showed no prompt though. I am going to try tomorrow again. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
